While traveling across northern and western India on a class trip, we had a tight schedule to follow but couldn’t possibly ignore the beauty around us. Our professor would quickly point out significant sites, neighborhoods or roads before taking us on another journey. He would almost always end his conversations with the Hindi term challo, or ‘let’s go.’ It rolls off the tongue so casually that it almost sounds comforting in a way – as if to say, don’t worry, let’s just go. Challo.
